PTA Quiz Achieves Virtual Perfection!
An impressive 30 teams took part in this year's PTA Quiz Night, which - as you would expect - was held virtually this time around. In an amazing feat of planning, organisation and technical wizardry, our legendary tuxedo-clad quizmasters, Adam and Mark, led the teams through multiple rounds of questions and picture puzzles. A huge range of topics were covered, from landmarks and flags to motorways and best selling cars. A lovely addition this year was an early family round, in which children were encouraged to participate. It was brilliant to see that loads of Totley pupils joined in, with many showing great levels of 'quizology' at an early age. Some even stayed up late and made it into the later rounds! Another highlight was the unforgettable cameo turn of Professor Whitty, who took over quizmaster duties at one point! In spite of the fact that cheese and beverages had to be self-sourced this year, a remarkable £300 was raised for PTA funds. Huge thanks to all involved and congratulations to the winning team - I am Sparticus. Let's hope that next year, we will be back in the glamorous location of Totley Primary School hall and that the teachers team learn a lesson, having snatched defeat from the jaws of victory with a shocker of a final round!
