Our Outstanding Ofsted

We are delighted to share that in June we completed a highly successful Ofsted inspection, with all areas of the school judged to be 'Outstanding'.

The report highlights the exceptional quality of education, outstanding personal development, and a school culture built on kindness, ambition and care.

Inspectors praised the strength of our curriculum and the high aspirations we hold for every child:

“Totley pupils propel themselves to success. Compassionate, knowledgeable staff support them to be the best version of themselves.”

“The curriculum provides pupils with a wide breadth of knowledge that goes beyond the national curriculum… Classrooms buzz with activity.”

Our early years provision was highlighted as a particular strength:

Early years is a vibrant learning environment… The curious minds of children are nurtured by caring staff who empower the children with confidence and social skills.

Inspectors also praised our strong personal development offer and the respectful, responsible way our children engage with the world:

Pupils are fantastic ambassadors for the school… They have a clear understanding of the modern world and a determination to have an influence on the issues the world faces.

Our headteacher, Ben Paxman, said:

We are extremely proud that the inspectors have recognised the dedication of our team and the culture we have built together. Totley Primary School is a place where every child is known, cared for, and challenged. This report is a powerful validation of that work.

We are so proud of this outcome and grateful to our staff, children and families for making Totley Primary School such a special place to learn and grow.
