Our school is an expanding two form entry primary, located on the boundary between Sheffield and the Peak District, with 12 classes and around 370 children. By 2022, the expansion of the school will be complete, with 14 classes in total. Building work to accommodate this expansion has already been completed, providing the school with a range of exciting, state of the art facilities. These include a food tech and science laboratory, an IT suite and library, in addition to new, modern and spacious classrooms.

At Totley, our vision is for all children to achieve the best possible outcomes, fulfil their potential and move on to the next phase of education as highly successful learners. We want them to leave us feeling confident, secure, and as fully-rounded and happy citizens of the world. The strong foundations of positive and caring relationships provide children with a true sense of belonging to the school community. In recent times, our school motto, ‘Good Friends Stick Together’ has never resonated more deeply and as a Mental Health in School Award holder, we also work to support the wellbeing and mental health of everyone in our community.

We believe that learning is a journey and we have developed an ambitious, vibrant curriculum which allows every child to experience success  in each area of learning. We believe that every lesson counts and our teachers, are experts in using the most engaging, immersive and effective methods to teach.  Recently, we have worked alongside Edtech partners to develop our online curriculum offer and now use Google Classroom to set homework and as a platform for remote learning.
