Historical, busy, exciting- what have we been learning about this week?
In English, we have been discussing if Henry VIII was a man or a monster. At the very beginning of this week, we were arguing if he was respectful and kind or cruel and barbaric. On our second day, we were using text maps to plan our writing. Today, we started to learn to use brackets in our presentation. Most of us (27 votes) thought he was a monster. What do you think about him?
In Maths, we have been learning all about time. Firstly, we learnt to read the time (both digital and analogue). Secondly, we’ve been converting between 12 and 24 hour time (just add 12 hours to PM times!). Next week, we’ll be moving on to calculating time differences. What do you think about the time?
In Topic, we have been learning all about Tudor houses. This week, we have been trying to make our own Tudor houses. We had to include all the features of a Tudor house (a jetty, wattle and daub wall, windows made from small panes of glass, tiled roofs, timber beams on the outside of the walls and tall chimneys). What do you think of our efforts so far?
As you can see, we’ve been working hard and learning about a bygone time. Log on next week for an update!
