Hello once again Y4!
I can’t believe this will be our fifth week of home learning (can you?). I must admit I am starting to find it difficult to motivate myself. I am sure many of us are now feeling like that! I have found that the best way to motivate myself is with a tick list of jobs I am going to do that day and only spending a set amount of time on each task. Once I have ticked off that job, or my time is up, I make sure I have a break, or just a change of scene. I also have to keep reminding myself that some days will be less successful than others, and that it is okay to have a less productive day. What are your top tips for working from home?
TT ROCKSTARS BATTLE – Y3 VS Y4
Well, as I write this blog, you are winning by a mile (around 25,000 points to Y3’s 8,000). The battle doesn’t finish until 4pm, so there is still time, however I think it’s safe to say you’ve done it again. Well done to everyone who played, I will email your certificates through to your parents this week!
A few of you have been asking about a way to practise your spelling. Before the school closure, we bought an online game called Spelling Shed. I have asked the lovely office staff to send out the usernames and passwords to your parents this week, and I will upload some information about how it works this week, so stay tuned!
Home Learning Packs
I have done separate answer sheets for Maths and Reading this week, which is due to some feedback I received about the learning packs. It’s really important that you still challenge yourself whilst working at home, hopefully not having the answers following the questions will help you resist the temptation to sneak a peak!
There is only work for Mon -Thurs, as Friday is a bank holiday. So enjoy your extra long weekend!
Please send me photos of your learning by Thursday AM for the chance to be featured in Mr P’s celebration assembly. I love seeing your wonderful work!
Have a good week and stay safe,
