As part of our work this year on promoting science at Totley we are going to have a ‘Superhero Science’ week, beginning on the 22nd of February. Each class will be getting involved with investigations and experiments to help our superheroes in their fight against the vicious villains. Over half term Batman needs our help – your science homework will explain the challenge in more detail. The week will be full of teamwork, science and most of all fun! We will be kicking it off with an assembly to discover what is in store for our budding scientists. On Tuesday we have an afternoon of theatre with the tale of ‘The Bunsen Towers mystery’. The rest of the week will allow children the opportunity to work with different classes and teachers to investigate ways in which to defeat our villains. Throughout the week children will have challenges around school to complete. Staff will also be keeping their eyes peeled for ‘Super Scientists’ who will be rewarded at the end of the week with a certificate.
I am really looking forward to this week and am sure the children will get lots out of it.
If you have any thoughts or questions about science at Totley please do not hesitate to come and speak to me.
Have a great half term,
