Totley Primary’s team of runners (Luke Craine Y4, Ollie Wynn Y5, Sophie Taylor Y6, Freddie Cressey Y6 and Douggie Nuttall Y6) did the school proud on Saturday 7th of November in their first run in the Sheffield Primary Schools Cross Country Race Series. The venue of the run was Limpsfield School and it was typical cross-country weather, pouring it down with rain but everyone had a great time.

The course they were running was very difficult starting with a flat strait then a turn down on to a steep hill. The path they were following sometimes got a bit uneven and slippery which resulted in a lot of muddy children!!! At the end was a hugely testing hill that challenged even the strongest runners, but everyone did their very best! Most of the team, if they weren’t covered in mud were soaking wet!! Our team spirit really showed today, especially in our Y5/6 boys’ race where Freddie (Y6) stayed behind to help Ollie (Y5) at the start of the race.

Despite a few nerves the team did amazing and our high spirits shone through even if the sun didn’t. We are all looking forward to the next race at Bradfield on Saturday 27th November. WELL DONE TEAM TOTLEY!!!!
