Now that the clocks have gone back and the nights are drawing in, it’s time to cosy down and look forward to our festive season – my favourite half term of the school calendar. The tree, glitter and tinsel are officially on order!
Parts have already been given out for our infant and junior Christmas productions and there is a real buzz around school as children are finding out what parts they have been given and are beginning to learn their lines and songs. I know that we can look forward, as always, to some stunning performances in December!
The end of term will be a real treat, with class parties, our trip to the panto and of course our Christingle service on the afternoon of the last day in school before we break up for the holiday. Our brilliant PTA will also be holding their traditional Christmas Gift Swap to raise funds for the school. I can’t thank them enough for the work that they do for us and I can’t wait to see their latest project – a new adventure trail on the KS2 yard – take shape next week!!
So thank you for your ongoing support and I hope that you will join us in preparing for and celebrating this most special of seasons!
