This week has been SATs week in y6. Firstly, I want to say how incredibly proud I am of the children. We know that there is so much more to school and education than SATs, but all of them tried their best and worked so hard to show off all that they have learnt; they should feel really proud of themselves. Their attitudes have been fantastic and this week has been full of smiles!

Alongside SATs this week the children have been spending their time planning an enterprise project. The children started this by bidding for an investment for their company in the ‘Dragon’s Den’. They then took to planning what they would do to make a profitable business.

On Friday y6 were joined throughout the day by the rest of the school to buy buns, play games and enter competitions. This was a fantastic day and again, the children were brilliant!

A big thank you to Todd’s Coffee House (Dore), tea family cafe (Abbeyday road south), Co-op, Tesco Express, The Gift Shop, Hair Union, Sainsbury’s, Rendezvous, Hairlines 195 and Fruiterama (Scriven Fruit and Veg) for their kind donations to our raffle.

Watch out for the total amount raised (Mrs Corrin is still busy counting…!) and for the raffle winners!
