Our Y5 boys football team put on another fine show as they travelled to Ann’s Grove school today and clinched a 2-0 victory. On a muddy pitch, the team passed and moved impressively and displayed the same high levels of energy as in their previous win last month. Although our boys dominated early possession, Ann’s Grove defended determinedly and survived several close attempts on their goal. It was captain Isaac,  leading from the front, who finally broke the deadlock after 10 minutes with a fine strike from distance. The 2nd half followed a similar pattern, with Ann’s Grove showing great resilience as they resisted wave after wave of Totley attacks with only the occasional journey into our half of the pitch. With just over 5 minutes to go, Kawser sealed the victory with a well taken finish inside the box.

Well done to both teams for playing the game as it should be played: hard but fair!
