We have been learning all about different 3D shapes in year 3. To help us visualise how 3D shapes are built, we used marshmallows and cocktail sticks to build different types of polyhedron. Because we worked so well together, we made loads of different shapes and could easily spot how many vertices and edges each shape had. It was fun to pick the shapes up and view them from different angles!

Have a look at these photos to see our fabulous shape models. Can you spot a cube, cuboid, square-based pyramid, triangular prism or even a triangle-based pyramid?
