We enjoyed a crazy comic relief day on Friday where the whole school paid to come into school in their own clothes and wear red. We had been purchasing noses throughout the week and it was good to see that all the children had contributed to buying these – so much so that we ran out of noses!! Many different activities took place throughout the day which enabled children to understand the significance of what they were doing and what they were raising money for. Mrs Holmes and her Y1 beautician team had great fun ‘making’ everyone up in school. Even Mrs Wileman was transformed! We also enjoyed the final of Totley’s Got Talent. Heats had been held in classes in the previous weeks and 6 acts had made it through to the final. Our Y5 and Y6 school councillors, Miss Dewsbury and Mr Stewart had a tough job deciding who the winning act was. We saw a juggling act, amazing magic tricks, dancers and singers but in the end, there could only be one winner! Overall, we raised a whopping £440 pounds which was fantastic! I’m so proud of all the children and staff. It was an amazing effort from all!
